THE BROOK PLACE / GIVING

WORSHIP THROUGH

GIVING

INVITE GOD INTO YOUR FINANCES

ADVANCE
THE
KINGDOM

Giving is an act of worship and a demonstration of faith. Through your tithes and offerings, you partner with The Brook Place to spread the Gospel, develop leaders, serve communities, and raise a generation that carries God's presence and purpose. Together, we are building lives, strengthening families, and extending the reach of God's Kingdom across London and beyond.

ΔΊΔΩΜΙ
Didōmi — Greek / New Testament
The Greek word didōmi is translated "give" throughout the New Testament, but its force is far stronger than casual generosity. It means to grant, to bestow, to entrust with intent. In John 3:16, God didōmi his only Son. In that one act, giving becomes the language of love at its most absolute. When you give, you speak the same language as heaven.

WAYS TO GIVE

WHAT SCRIPTURE

SAYS ABOUT GIVING

δεκάτας
dekatē — Greek
"Tithe" — A witness that Jesus lives

Hebrews 7:8 - Scripture reminds us that Christ Himself receives our tithe. Tithing is an act of worship, faith, and honour that acknowledges Jesus as our living Lord and the source of every blessing in our lives.

ΧΆΡΙΣΜΑ
Charisma — Greek
"Gift" — Grace Made Tangible

Charisma derives from charis, the Greek word for grace. In the New Testament it describes a freely given, divinely energised gift. Every gift you release to God's house carries the nature of charis. You give out of grace; grace multiplies back.

בְּרָכָה
Berakah — Hebrew
"Blessing" — The Overflow of Covenant Faithfulness

Berakah is more than the English word "blessing" carries. It is the tangible, overflowing, generative favour of God released into every dimension of life: family, health, territory, and provision. In Deuteronomy 28, berakah is the direct consequence of obedience. When you give in faithfulness, you are not purchasing a blessing; you are aligning yourself with the covenant that releases it.

ΣΠΕΊΡΩ
Speirō — Greek
"To Sow" — The Agricultural Logic of Faith

Paul uses speirō in 2 Corinthians 9:6: whoever sows sparingly will reap sparingly; whoever sows generously will reap generously. The agricultural image is intentional. A farmer who clings to his seed never sees a harvest. The seed must leave your hand before the ground can receive it. Your giving is not a loss; it is planting. And God, who makes seeds grow does not forget what was sown in faith.

EVERY TIME WE GIVE

OVER YOUR FINANCES

We do not give in silence. Every act of giving at The Brook Place is met with a declaration — the spoken Word of God over your life, your family, and your resources. Click below to read and pray the giving declaration aloud before you give.
